Trying to Understand the Theory Behind

The 7 story High, High Speed Slide

I was away the last weekend. 3 of my cousins and myself went on this. I was 2nd to go. It took 7 mins to get to the top and 5 sec to reach the bottom. When I sat on the slide to get myself ready, I realised something about myself that day. I've lost all sense of fear. It was a good self awareness slide I should say.

"Cross your hands over your chest and keep your feet crossed as you slide. When you are ready, you may go". I was on my way and being me, I decided to let go of my hands and uncross my feet and I experienced a momentary lift, off the slide. Even then, the fear of being thrown off the slide didnt cross my mind. Is this a result of life's experiences?

Im trying to figure out the theory behind the arms and feet crossing. Is it CG, air resistance due to speed or is it just pinning yourself down thus causing less movement? Let me find out......

A Reminder

A messy corner in my room that consists of my travelling/gym bags, volleyball, guitar and runners....I still have my uncleared bag from my Melbourne Trip........a reminder that I have to pack & leave for good.......where to is not decided.......let me sleep on it for sometime.........

The Geographical North & The Magnetic North

The topic was Magnetism. I started the lesson with this statement:

The Earth we live in is a big magnet itself and do you know that the Geographical North does not coincide with the Magnetic North?

There was silence and blank stares from my 16 year olds. Hello? Anyone there?

The next one hour was spent explaining to them the meaning of Geographical North, Magnetic North, Law of Magnetism and how the forces of attraction work.

A compass is used to show the geographical position but if people have wondered what is it that makes the needle of the compass move to that direction, they would have known the difference between the magnetic north and the geographic north.

I wonder if kids nowadays get intrigued by the things around them. Let me see if Im able to get this theory across to my 4 year old Nephew!

The Principle of Emptiness

Have you got the habit of hoarding useless objects, thinking that one day, god knows when, you may need them ?

Have you got the habit of accumulating money, and not spending it because you think that in the future you may need it?

Have you got the habit of storing clothes, shoes, furniture, utensils and other home supplies that you haven’t used in ages?

And inside yourself, have you got the habit to keep reproaches, resentment, sadness, fears and more?

It is necessary to make room, to leave an empty space in order to allow new things to arrive into your life.

It is necessary that you get rid of all the useless things that are in you and in your life, in order for prosperity to arrive.

The force of this emptiness is one that will absorb and attract all that you wish.

As long as you are, materially or emotionally, holding old and useless feelings, you won’t have room for new opportunities
Clean your drawers, the wardrobes, the workshop, the garage... Give away what you don’t use any longer...

It’s not the objects you keep that stagnate your life...but rather the attitude of keeping...

When we keep in store, we consider the possibility of wanting, of penury and we believe that tomorrow it may lack, and that we won’t be able to fulfil those necessities..
With that idea, you are sending two messages to your brain and to your life: That you dont trust tomorrow and you think that the new and the better are not for you.

Get rid of what lost its colour and brightness...

Let the new enter your home and your life......
